for the love of broccoli

Roasted veggies are so yummy! I know it's not just that I'm having absolutely nothing sweet–not even diet soda–that they taste sweet to me. Roasting brings out the natural sweetness in these vegetables. Maybe the fact that I'm having no sweets makes it easier to detect. Anyway, I'm in love with roasted broccoli and cauliflower. Since I've been restricting veggy choices to the cruciferous variety so far this week I've enjoyed roasted broccoli, cauliflower or brussels sprouts at nearly every meal. Roasted cruciferous veggies are the new french fries I'm telling you.

Cro was given a pay raise yesterday. He used to be manager of the parts department for an air filtration corporation in Atlanta before he moved to Indy to be with me. It's great that the company here is recognizing his worth (though I know they'll find him to be even more amazingly brilliant the longer he's there).

Loads of work today and for the rest of the week. Stress stress stress ... na, just busy busy busy with a dash of stress to season (and then the seasoning lid falls into the bowl along with a pile of stress because it wasn't on tight). Yum. :P
